About the role
Position: Terminal Coordinator Cadet
All of our cadets have the opportunity to choose if they would like to further their education while completing the program, with a number of certificates available, including:
- Cert III in Business
- Cert III in Driver Operations
- Cert III in Supply Chain Logistics
- Cert III in Information Technology
Location: Outer Harbor, SA
Status: Full-time
Duties
- Plan the daily transport function of your portfolio of customers ensuring delivery/receipt of cargo is completed within allocated timeslots and account requirements
- Ensure all customer requirements are met by the recording of special instructions, ie. Reefer temperatures, delivery times, correct sizes of containers, correct timeslots are allocated to containers
- Update customers with reference to the imposition of additional costs ie. Storage/penalty costs
- Effectively respond to all customer enquiries/issues directed to the bookings area via phone/email
- Problem solve using own initiative, keeping Qube customers and major clients updated with progress on transportation issues
- Data management by inputting and extracting information from System Maximas with 100% accuracy
- Create and provide accurate client booking and release details as requested
- Allocate jobs to drivers throughout the shift to achieve operational requirements ensuring equality between all drivers shown at all times
- Provide drivers with required delivery paperwork
- Set up requirements for shift bulk runs and transshipments as required
- Track and record all trailer drop outs to reduce risk of equipment loss
- Working as a team, seeking advice and communicate effectively across all sections of the business to resolve transport problems as they arise
