ABOUT THE ROLE

The primary purpose of the Offshore Stores Assistant is to be responsible for the material receipt, storage and kitting of work orders and the returns process including managing all repair, disposals and manifesting. To manage the equipment, tools and consumables inventory to ensure safety critical items are fit for purpose and in good condition. Maintaining warehouse overall health and stock accuracy to ensure material availability. You will be responsible for collating and reporting warehouse data on the overall operation at the facility. Stakeholder engagement is a key component of this roll the ability to effectively communicate with client and vendors is critical to the role. Providing feedback on current stocking strategies and recommendations on inventory optimisation. This role will be 12hour shift on a 3 week on / 3 week off roster rotating between day and night shift. The point of hire for this role is Perth Airport.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Pick and verify materials.
  • Goods Receipt materials taking individual responsibility for accuracy and completing inventory transactions.
  • Process returns with the same diligence as inbound materials.
  • Maintain adherence to warehousing principles and processes.
  • Loading and unloading of offshore containers.
  • Follow the principles of Chain of Responsibility.
  • Actively work to keep the workplace clean and safe.
  • Routinely cycle count inventory.
  • Ensure that defects within the warehouse or storage system are identified and reported with action points, due completion dates and recommendations for improvements. Such as, incorrect bin locations, inappropriate storage methods, inappropriate preservation methods, potentially unserviceable materials
  • Ensure all materials databases and project reporting tools are updated with the latest purchasing, receipt delivery and shipping information.
  • Conduct ad-hoc stock checks as directed by Materials Controller for verification to meet operational requirements outside of the annual stock check plan.
  • Assist HSSE in investigations and process improvement as required to improve overall safety and performance within the operation.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Ability to manage and prioritize tasks subject to criticality and Operational demand.
  • Able to describe general principles, process and key activities related to receiving, checking, issuing, transporting, packaging, kitting, and storing goods to required standards.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.
  • SAP Experience with MM/QM modules.
  • Has ability to work independently whilst being unsupervised and is a proven self- starter.

Desirable

  • MSIC, BOSIET (5750) with CA-EBS (5750) and Escape Chute Training (5770)
  • Certificate/qualification in warehousing or logistics discipline highly desirable.
  • International Maritime Dangerous Goods Training (IMDG)
  • (IATA) Dangerous Goods by Air Training
  • Demonstrated experience in emergency processes, E.G., spill response medical first aid and facility evacuation.
