ABOUT THE ROLE
The primary purpose of the Logistics Coordinator role is to coordinate a team of Warehouse Officers performing the function of logistics within the Northwest Supply Base.
This includes overview of Freight In / Out, Container Management, Chain of Responsibility assurance. Targeting industry best practice every time for safe and efficient cargo movement in the supply chain for Qube Energy and our Clients.
This is not a FIFO role – the successful candidate will be residential to Karratha.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate a team of Warehouse Officers to deliver safe and efficient operations as directed by Qube management
- Manage overall flow of traffic within the NWSB
- Manage flow of communication via the UHF radio system. Radio network owner
- Ensure all 3rd party movements within the facility adhere to NWSB TMP
- Ensure load restrain of cargo into containers complies fully with the National Transport Commission Load Restraint Guide.
- Ensure equipment is in serviceable condition and report defects immediately
- Manage the Rigging & Lifting Equipment register
- Manage and contribute to external service provider scopes of work being executed within the NWSB
- Ensure container fleet is of suitable size on/off hire when deemed appropriate to manage cost control for hired equipment
- Ensure safety compliance is at a high standard with in the logistics space of NWSB. This include equipment operation to comply with OEM specifications for MHE.
- Be a Subject Matter Expert on material packing and cargo + container management
- Provide development and training opportunities to the logistics team
- Encourage Warehouse Officers to take ownership and control end to end process
- Receive and coordinate material requests and points of enquiry from stakeholders
- Establish documentation filing process and coordinate team to ensure compliance
- Take an active role in supporting material management and transactions within the NWSB
- Proactively communicate within the supply chain stakeholders to meet customer requirements
- Ensure quarantine compliance, dangerous goods storage, handling and transportation is carried out safely and in accordance with relevant policies and regulations.
- Ensure Quarantine Management Plan for NWSB is integrated and specific quarantine activities performed to the required standard prior to asset dispatch for shipping
- Maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPI) reports
- Contribute to development, implementation and accuracy of all procedures and policies
- Monitor, report, and rectify all inbound / outbound CoR non-conformance events to ensure safe movement of material in the supply chain and industry best practice of load restraint is integrated and observed within the operation
- Provide coverage for Material Coordinator
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- 2+ Years’ experience in a similar role
- Specialised systems knowledge
- Computer literate and experienced in MS Office Suite
- Current Australian Driver’s Licence (Car)
- Current Forklift Licence (LF)
- Chain of Responsibility qualification
- Certificate III or IV Warehouse Operations (Desirable)
- Dogman License (Desirable)
- Load Restraint Training
- Dangerous Goods Awareness and qualified in in transport of DG by Road, Air & Sea
- Experience in JDE is highly regarded, as well as knowledge of other inventory management systems
- Qualified equipment operator forklifts ranging from 2.5T to 16T including material picking platforms and high reach warehouse equipment
- Pro-active, goal oriented with excellent attention to detail
- Excellent customer focus and able to consistently meet Qube Energy expectations
